Pilgrim Journey

The long journey Home

Tough day

I had such a tough day at work. I have been, to say it nicely, thrown under the bus! Sigh. Welcome to Corporate America. God bless those who have worked for years and years in this environment. It is stressful, taxing on your physical and spiritual life, at times discouraging and many times exhausting. Combine this with raising a family and you have the perfect cocktail for insanity! I always pull through days like this, only by God’s grace, but I sure wish they did not happen all that often. I truly should not complain. God has been so good to my family and I in providing this job for our well being. I do not deserve His mercy but I am given it daily.

Well, I think I will have a margarita…relax…and possibly turn in for an early evening.

  1. Sorry the coporate world is getting to you saint ………….it’s a all too common story .The bosses forget were all human .

Don’t let it get to you . I wud suggest some of moi’s past coping mechanisms but don’t think you’d go for them . No offense but you don’t sound like the kind of woman who wud go to bar and get a guy to buy you drinks all nite then dinner or stop by a girl bar wanting to meet some one for a nite ………..lol

You have a family though which I do believe is better…………

Moi’s fine , in the too insane to believe department ( like Sarah Palin )expected to get fired as bartender as part of a huge and very nasty restructuring at work . Many were canned and it was sad to see……….

But wound up jumping over about 10 other people more qualified then me to be made permanent afternoon manager of our huge 4 star hotel …………….me a yuppy ?

More work but more money .The downside…………..i have to wear heels again which drove me insane as a cocktail waitress .

Don’t let all the work nonsense get to you …………….! xL

  2. Hi saint ……………Happy holidays .Hope all is getting better after getting thrown under the corporate bus .Many peopel are suffering in the recession . It could be worse , a old family friend of my gf had most of the left side of his body from his face to his lower leg blown off in Iraq.

Moi’s fine , the new job is going pretty good. I even get yelled at less then when I was a bartender . A virtual baby boom is going on all around us , my gf’s sister just had a boy and now her brother ’s wife is expecting . A friend at work had a baby and 2 other friends are also expecting . When things like this happen , I don’t care what it is from buying clothes to losing your virginity as a kid to buying a car you almost feel compelled to join in . Will have to wait til my gf gets her MA in Pharmacy and can support all of us ……….lol

We may disagree but am happy we will soon have President Obama . I respected McCain but he was almost more bush then bush and having that right wing fanatic / colossal ignorant as VP said alot about him having poor judgement .

Back to the tv , I think I’m watching IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE for the jillionth time .L
